Turmoil

The flow of emotion

overwhelms the soul

as it struggles to rise above humanity.

It’s curious.

Silence festers in your boiling heart and blistering stomach.

You position your pawns in granite, only to abandon them in conceit.

Leave now.

Before the poisoned tips of your words pierce their innocuous mark.

Before you’re compelled to consider the obliteration you carelessly instigate.

Consider this.

Stay you the bearing of writhing fury allowing its noxious reign?

Unleash instead the demon in seclusion eradicating its depraved power?

In arrogance you challenge the Fates

as you choreograph

your victory dance.

The given area doesn't allow for my poetic mapping, but it tries.

Trulee, this is FANTASTIC! There is a passion that really moves the action in the poem. There is so much strength in your words. You use allusions to set an epic tone and enhance the force of the emotion. Love it!

Trulee, that's pretty good. And that's coming from someone that doesn't really like poetry all that much. Thanks for sharing the site.

I love "boiling" and "blistering." These are great if not agonizing descriptions. Just as Kiramey says, there is a passion in this poem that is unusual and threatening. I think this is one of my favorite pieces from you.
